Last Saturday, we had the honor of representing the Clean Cities Project at the Thin Plastic Awareness Walk organized by the Association of Environmental Journalists in Malawi (AEJ-Malawi) . The event was a powerful step forward in our mission to end plastic pollution, especially the pervasive issue of thin plastics that continue to harm our environment and communities.
Walking alongside like-minded youths and passionate advocates was truly inspiring. Our shared commitment to finding sustainable alternatives to thin plastics was evident in every conversation and every step we took together. It’s clear that we have a strong and motivated community ready to take action.
The time for change is now. We call on all stakeholders—government, businesses, civil society, and citizens—to join forces in creating solutions that prioritize the health of our planet over short-term profits. Together, we can create a cleaner, greener future for Malawi.
