Speaking at Malawi’s Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Under YOUNGO

We were honored to be part of this year’s Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) under YOUNGO, the official children and youth constituency at the UNFCCC. Hosted at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Malawi, the event was an inspiring platform for young leaders committed to tackling the climate crisis.

During the conference, we had the privilege of presenting the impactful work of the Clean Cities Project. From climate action to environmental sustainability, we shared how our initiatives—like the Waste to Art Enterprise—are driving meaningful change in communities. It was an excellent opportunity to engage with other passionate young leaders, brainstorm innovative ideas, and explore collaborations that could amplify our collective impact.

Together with other participants, we developed key recommendations on climate action and sustainability, which will be presented at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This was a powerful reminder of the importance of youth voices in shaping global policies and solutions for a sustainable future.

Climate change is real, and its impacts are growing every day. But through action, collaboration, and determination, we can create a better tomorrow. To all young people out there: now is the time to act—let’s rise and make our voices heard!

We’re deeply grateful to the organizers and fellow participants for this incredible experience. Here’s to a more sustainable and resilient future!.
